You don’t always need a reason to celebrate!

June 24, 2016, 16:00 1690 Author: Olga Vovk, translated by Andrei Vernon www.deti.zp.ua Happiness is one of the most effective treatments out there…. we are searching for laughter therapy.

Children are always in need of little moments of joy and happiness. Imagine being a child in a hospital with a strict schedule magnified with the fear of shots and IV drips. We found a very nice escape from these worries!

As we could see from our event - children that are smiling and happy heal faster than sad children. Our first proof of this is when a child woke up from a vegetative state (the child regained consciousness) during our event in 2012. And now our ward with cystic fibrosis patients was cheery again – it was a great day to dance and play with us!

These pictures and stories are the main motivators behind these events. We as volunteers and the doctors understand the importance of laughter therapy. We would be very happy if you decide to join us in these events!

If you have a kind heart, the necessary skills, props/toys and are not afraid of hospitals – please call us as soon as possible. Ask to speak with Olga and we will most definitely organize another day of happiness!

If you have any unnecessary items around the house such as puzzles, board games, bouncy balls, bubbles, colored pencils, or markers please think about donating them to the children’s hospital.

We are waiting for you! Let’s heal children together!

Without our support, fifteen-year-old Maksym Didenko will not be able to continue his vital rehabilitation and corrective classes. Please help raise funds for the boy’s treatment and development!
