Alisa Onufrieva and Olya Pavlenko

Autumn doesn't always start with school. Our two girls, Olya and Alice, are not up to the textbooks yet. Now they have a struggle: the bacteria that constantly live in their lungs decided to remind about themselves.

Olya and Alisa have cystic fibrosis. This disease cannot be infected, but it is also impossible to be cured. Cystic fibrosis disrupts the work of all organs, most of all affects the lungs. Any harmless cold often turns into pneumonia with IVs and expensive antibiotics. And if the infection is serious, then the cost of treatment is in the thousands of hryvnias.

Both girls had Pseudomonas aeruginosa raging. A severe cough appeared, the level of oxygen in the blood dropped, and it became difficult to breathe. Alice is being treated in the hospital, and Olya is at home. The basis of treatment is antibiotics, which have shown their effectiveness on inoculation.

Last week we bought Ole "Meronem", and Alice "Cefosulbin" and "Braxon", as well as "Hepatox" to support the liver. The most important thing in the fight against exacerbations in cystic fibrosis is to start treatment on time and not let the infection take over. Thanks to your constant help, we immediately purchased medicines worth about UAH 18,000. Thank you friends!

Autumn is a difficult time for children with cystic fibrosis. Please support our assistance program so that we can get all the medicines we need right away:

Without our support, six-year-old Mariia Zaslavska cannot overcome the consequences of a severe illness. Please help us raise funds for life-saving medical supplies!
