Report from an Afghan orphanage (Video)

January 20, 2022, 18:01 954 Author: President of Happy Child foundation: Albert Pavlov An ITV News correspondent visits an orphanage in Afghanistan with about 300 children.

Orphans are a big problem in Ukraine, but we must not forget that in some other countries the situation is ten times worse. Perhaps someday Ukrainians will begin to help not only their orphans, but also children from the poorest countries.

In this recent feature, ITV News correspondent John Ray visits an orphanage in Afghanistan that has about 300 children but thousands more still live on the streets. The boarding school could take more children, but it does not have the funds to support the pupils, and the staff does not receive a salary for about 3.5 months. The correspondent communicates with two boys, the father of one of them died fighting for the official Afghan army, and the other - fighting for the Taliban. I would like to hope that someday the world will become more open, and people from all over the world will be able to visit this interesting and beautiful country, and these beautiful children with videos will be able to live a normal life.

You can help these children through a specialized organization www.aschiana-foundation.org founded in the USA by the Afghans themselves, and quite reliable, judging by the reviews. UNICEF, Save the children and others also work with orphans in Afghanistan.

Without our support, fifteen-year-old Maksym Didenko will not be able to continue his vital rehabilitation and corrective classes. Please help raise funds for the boy’s treatment and development!
