Viktoriia Stepura

Fourteen-year-old Viktoria from Zaporizhzhia is a ninth-grade student. Due to her health condition, she studies remotely, as staying in shelters is contraindicated for her, and the security situation in Zaporizhzhia does not allow children to attend regular school classes. For almost six years, she has been battling her primary diagnosis—chronic bronchitis. Her family has tried various treatments to improve Viktoria's condition, but so far, they have not yielded sufficient results.

In addition, she struggles with other illnesses, including bilateral bronchiectasis, cystic sinusitis, stomach ulcers, and more. Due to the lack of progress in treatment, doctors now suspect another underlying diagnosis. To confirm it, genetic testing is required, but the family cannot afford it.

Despite all these challenges, Viktoria remains an active and talented girl. She loves drawing, enjoys dancing, and is passionate about aerial gymnastics. Unfortunately, she has had to put these hobbies on hold for now, as her illness demands much of her strength and time.

As soon as Viktoria's mother reached out to us, we quickly provided an inhaler and medication worth nearly 9,000 UAH ($220 USD) to start her treatment immediately. Our next goal is to raise an additional 20,000 UAH ($490 USD) to cover the cost of genetic testing and a one-month supply of medication.
