Veronica died in September 2008.

Veronica with her mother

Veronica, 17 years old (02.10.1990) needs our support!

Veronica has a brain-tumour. Ukrainian doctors can not treat the girl. With hope to find the last chance of saving her life we’ve sent all medical documents, biological samples of tumour tissue, MR-Tomograms to Moscow (Russia), to the famous in former USSR Russian clinical children’s hospital, oncology department.

Analyzing her materials Moscow doctors regard she has a chance to be treated. They have already sent her referral to treatment in the Scientific centre of roentgenology, where she will receive combined chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The doctors of this Center have a great experience in treating patients with such serious brain tumours like Veronica has.

So Veronica with her mother Anna Vasilievna decided to try their luck. 1 day ago, 23, July, they came to Moscow and have already placed in roentgenology center, department of radiotherapy. But the treatment will cost about 20 000 dollars, which is a great sum for ordinary Ukrainian family.

By common efforts we have already gathered and transferred to Anna’s account about 6 000 dollars but to begin the treatment they need to have at least 9 000 dollars.

We apply to all people who read these lines to help us with gathering of missing sum!

Let’s give a chance to Veronica!

Russian doctors examined Veronica’s analysis and MR images and decided she had a chance. They didn’t give any guarantee but just began to treat Veronica. Veronica spent a month in Moscow Scientific Centre of Radiology where she received combined course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, she passed it successfully, her temperature became normal, she even began to smile and talk. After treating in Moscow Veronica's state became stabilized and Russian radiologists discharged her to surgery department for tumor extracting. She needed the operation as soon as possible the tumor not to be growth again.

There was no possibility to operate in Moscow so Veronica and her mother came back to Ukraine, Kiev with hope that Ukrainian doctors could do the operation in time. Ukrainian doctors were impressed by positive results of treatment got in Moscow and they even began to prepare Veronica for the operation in Kiev Institute of Neurosurgery. But girl's kidneys, lungs and heart became swollen and broke down under the influence of strong medicines, some organs couldn't carry out their functions, kidneys stopped to remove liquid… and Veronica’s heart stopped beating.

She struggled till the end..

Let's pray for Veronica’s soul and for her mother Anna!
