Misha Samoylenko, born in 31.08.2015

Diagnosis: Dandy-Walker Syndrome. Cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis. Episyndrome, medication remission stage. Partial atrophy of the optic nerve. Complex metabolic disorder of amino acids.

Fundraising is suspended! Misha completed a rehabilitation course in November. Thank you, friends, for supporting the little hero!

Misha was born very tiny, weighing a little over a kilogram. The baby got home only three months later. A congenital malformation of the central nervous system led to a delay in the boy's development and, later, to the setting of serious diagnoses.

Now Teddy Bear, as his mother affectionately calls him, is 4 years old. The boy develops at his own pace, so he cannot walk and talk yet, but he sits and crawls on his own. Misha loves listening to children's songs, looking at books with his mother and riding on a swing. Recently, the boy pleases with perseverance, attentiveness and a desire to learn. Developing fine motor skills, Misha is trying to cope with the spoon and get right into his mouth, and he is also trying very hard to draw the most beautiful "kalyak-malyaku" and give it to Mom. And all this he will definitely succeed!

Misha visits a rehabilitation center at his place of residence, swims in the pool and undergoes hippotherapy courses with his beloved pony Batyrchik. Physiotherapy exercises and classes with mom at home are held daily. And thanks to lessons with a speech therapist, the boy began to chew food, speak individual letters and syllables.

Several times a year Misha travels to the Kharkov center "Tomatis-Ukraine", where with each visit the specialists note the positive dynamics in the boy's development and praise him for working at home.

Each small achievement, be it a new sound or a meaningful hand movement, inspires parents and gives strength to further fight the disease. But the financial costs of a family with a child with special needs are incommensurate with income. And the interval between rehabilitation, ideally, should be no more than three months.

Thanks to you, friends, we have already been able to partially pay for Misha's treatment three times. We ask you to support the boy this time too, because this is another small step forward in the development of our hero!

June 19 at dobro.ua project started "Captured by cerebral palsy". Therefore, you can also help the boy on the website of our partners.
