On June 4, 2012 we, the volunteers of the “Klubok” Club, that is a part of the “Happy Child” Charity Fund took eighteen children from “Zaporozhye Educational and Rehabilitation Centre-Internat to the Khortitsa Island. The event was held in the framework of the International Children’s Day.
Not far from the Arch Bridge we found a nice tourist spot suitable for the planned activities. We began with jumping into the refreshing water of the Dniepr river! After some swimming and bathing we played frisbee but the most exciting part of the meeting was ahead: both kids and adults were introduced to the real rope course, organized in cooperation with the Club of Active Pastime “KAVA”! The three-part course brought an hour of pure fun and excitement to the kids who showed true wonders of dexterity and liveliness!
By the lunchtime everybody got pretty hungry but enjoyed the simple food – a huge pot of cooked rice, 2 kg of cucumbers and hot cakes stuffed with vegetables.
After the lunch everybody headed to the river to bathe, splash and play in the water and on the beach! Then tired but overjoyed, we played Charades.
The kids are grateful to all the sponsors who support the “Klubok” project and help make this kind of activities possible!
By the way, you too can help children explore this wonderful world by giving the feasible support to the Tourist program of the Fund. One can send food to be used on a hike (preferably non-perishables such as grains, canned food etc.), or make a feasible donation in the most convenient way for you.
Please feel free to contact the members of the “Klubok” Club if you have any questions, they will be happy to help!
