A Child Needs a Family: Julia B., born in 2002

February 6, 2014, 11:00 5916 Author: Victoria Mochalova, translated by Oksana Nikolenko www.deti.zp.ua Julia has reached the age of majority

Julia is another child with special needs. Her development potential is not as powerful as in most of the children, but do we really love children, our relatives only for that? Julia is a quiet, and an unsociable child. Although, it seems that she is still interested in people. It seemed to me that for simple understanding of addressed speech, the choice of reaction, the selection of words the girl has to expend a lot of efforts.

She is an easygoing and a conflict-free girl, she fulfills all the teachers’ requests and tasks, she diligently works on the farmland and is very happy when something grows there. Julia is a calm child, she adores to play, as well as all of her peers. And she is also looking forward to the summer - because she would go to the seaside.

If you have been thinking about adopting this child or other children, please, read the memo to potential adoptive parents, guardians, and foster parents; or you can also contact Children’s Affairs' service of the Zaporozhye State Administration by telephones (061) 239-02-51 or (061) 239-01-56 and request Julia’s profile number # 0058430 according to the orphan list.

Other children who dream of finding a family

If for some reason you are currently not able to adopt (for example, you are a student and do not have a family of your own yet) you are still able to help children at a boarding school (an orphanage) with your financial support. Ways you can help include: planning and participating in excursions and trips for children; visiting a child in an orphanage; or helping purchase developmental toys, books, construction sets, and sports equipment.
