A Child Needs a Family: Veronika K., born in 2002

September 15, 2014, 12:20 4637 Author: Anastasia Pisareva, translated by Yevheniya Devyatkova www.deti.zp.ua Veronica left this world ...

Veronika is a very quiet child. The thing that got her excited was a big ball in the rehabilitation room. She rolled it, laughed and showed her emotions freely. Our cameraman received his share of her cheerful laughter and warm smiles.

Veronika is a lively child. She likes walking outdoors. Her favourite pastime is active games.

Veronika is a child with special needs. She requires a lot of attention. She reaches out for adults in want of communication. She is very gentle with adults, but sometimes quarrels with other kids in the group. Sadly these issues are caused by competition for the caregiver's attention between the orphans. Parental love and care would resolve the problem.

If you are interested in adopting Veronika, please read the memo to the potential adoptive parents, guardians, and foster parents; you can also contact Children’s Affairs' service of the Zaporozhia State Administration by telephone (061) 239-01-56 quoting Veronika’s Profile Number 0057344.

Other children who dream of finding a family

If for some reason you are currently not able to adopt (for example, you are a student and do not have a family of your own yet) you are still able to help children at a boarding school (an orphanage with your financial support. Ways you can help include: planning and participating in excursions and trips for children; visiting a child in an orphanage; or helping purchase developmental toys, books, construction sets, and sports equipment.
