A Child Needs a Family: Polina O., born in 2002

September 29, 2014, 13:10 5175 Author: Anastasia Pisareva, translated by Daria Sukach www.deti.zp.ua Polinka has reached the age of majority

Polina is a gentle girl. She turns to adults. This girl loves individual games as well as playing with her peers.

Polina smiles at guests. Whenever she sees a kind smile her way, she starts to laugh for joy. Polina is very curious – she tastes all her toys.

Polina has some mobility problems. She can independently move only for short distances – from desk to desk and around her bedroom. The girl knows her bed, chair in the dining room and her classroom desk well.

Polina’s hands cannot hold a pencil. Her love of drawing has taught her to draw with fingers. By the way, fingers’ games are her favourite.

If you are interested in adopting Polina, please read the memo to the potential adoptive parents, guardians, and foster parents; you can also contact Children’s Affairs' service of the Zaporozhia State Administration by telephone (061) 239-01-56 and to tell them the number of Polina's profile accordingly to the orphan list # 0058230.

Other children who dream of finding a family

If for some reason you are currently not able to adopt (for example, you are a student and do not have a family of your own yet) you are still able to help children at a boarding school (an orphanage) with your financial support. Ways you can help include: planning and participating in excursions and trips for children; visiting a child in an orphanage; or helping purchase developmental toys, books, construction sets, and sports equipment.
