Ukraine sees reduce of orphans adoption

Number of adopted orphans and children deprived of parents care keeps to decrease comparing with the previous years, according to the state statistic date.

The number of people adopted last year comprises 4318 children, while in 2005 5241 children were adopted, in 2004 this number comprised 5596 children, in 2003 – 6345 children, in 2002 -6925, in 2001 -7593, in 2000 – 7892 children.

Moreover, last year the number of orphans increased and comprised 102912 children.

At the same time, last year showed increase of adoption by Ukrainians and decrease of adoption rate among foreigners comparing with previous years.
