I will share with you the latest news about the creation in the project of Happy Child village for Ukrainian orphans House of the Moomin Troll.

Let me remind you that the idea of the project is to create the first in Ukraine and the third in the world house-museum of the Moomin trolls - the characters of the good tales of the Finnish writer Tove Jansson. This house is located very close to the homes of foster families, and it will not only decorate the children's eco-village, but will also become an unusual and attractive tourist attraction for travelers to the Sea of Azov. In addition, the third floor will be used as a guest room for the reception of volunteers and camp counselors. Together with the tower, according to the project, at a distance of 7-10 m, a round residential building will be constructed, designed to accommodate 5 graduates of boarding schools.

From August to December 2019, our builder Mikhail and his assistants managed to accomplish almost a miracle - to completely build a “box” and a roof for a rather complicated object. We, as managers, tried to reduce the cost of construction as much as possible without compromising on quality. It was possible to use the old brick, nonetheless superior in quality to the new one. Thanks to this, the savings amounted to about $900. As a result, in 4 months, a tower 9 meters high, 4.5 meters in diameter and round rooms on three floors has grown in Ukrainka.

Now we are looking for resources to continue the construction. In the near future, we plan to install a metal staircase with wooden steps, a landing, complete the installation of floors and floors, insulate the roof and perform other internal work. In April, we will be installing roof tiles, roof seams, gutters, blind areas, and facade works.

We are also looking for a good interior designer and accept ideas on the interior design of the museum.

Absolutely everyone can take part in the implementation of the project:

- help as a volunteer for construction work;

- help in filling the museum - to transfer or purchase dolls, Moomin figures, books and postcards, interior decoration, unusual antique furniture and antiques;

- help in landscaping the area around the house;

- transfer or purchase building materials (boards, bricks, metal, paving slabs, sockets and wires, etc.);

- provide all feasible financial assistance (for Moomin house)

- Journalists and bloggers can help disseminate information.
