From March 25 to 28, 2024, as part of the "Klubok" tourist project, nine students from the 7th and 8th grades along with two teachers spent three days in Chernivtsi, enjoying a rich program. Alongside a city tour, the children visited the university complex, the local history and art museum, and sampled beverages at the museum cafe.
We dedicated one day to hiking in the Carpathian Mountains, ascending a ridge in the Vyzhnytskyi district, exploring Dovbusha cave, and crossing the suspension bridge over the Cheremosh River. Additionally, there were various recreational activities such as a rope park, go-karting, and paintball.
I believe this trip was highly beneficial for the children from the frontline city of Zaporizhzhia, which is periodically affected by Russian shelling, as the students there attend offline classes only one to two days a week.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to funding this trip, including Irina Melinauskiene and the Massa store chain in Zaporizhzhia, as well as Anna Sh., Stan, Erich, Lolita, Tatyana, and other generous individuals.
Currently, we are gearing up for our next excursion in May 2024, accommodating 15 children from Zaporizhzhia. We have already raised UAH 10,000 (257 US dollar) for this trip, but we still need to collect an additional UAH 27,000 (695 US dollar). On average, the cost for one child's participation (covering travel, accommodation, and all other expenses) amounts to approximately UAH 2,500 (63 US dollar).
We would greatly appreciate your financial and informational support!
