Oleksiy Marchuk, 09/07/2021 year of birth
Diagnosis: Cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis.
ATTENTION! AS OF 03/20/2025: Funds for rehabilitation have been collected. Thank you very much!
Oleksiy did not have a carefree childhood. He has been fighting the disease for two years. Every day is hard work and small victories that make his future life more or less healthy.
During childbirth, Oleksiyko experienced entanglement of the umbilical cord. Doctors resuscitated the baby, but temporary oxygen starvation left negative consequences. At six months, doctors assumed that Oleksiy had cerebral palsy, and later the diagnosis was confirmed.
Because of the war, Oleksiy's family left their native home in the occupied Green Grove and moved to Zaporizhzhia. And after intense shelling of the city in October 2022, the family went further, to Truskavets. There, Oleksiy began to be treated at the Kozyavkin clinic, and has already completed four rehabilitation courses. By the way, we paid for the July rehabilitation thanks to your help!
The boy's achievements are incredible! Half a year ago, he was just learning to roll over from his back to his tummy, and now he is kneeling on his own, leaning on his hands. Oleksiy realized that using his hands is very interesting: you can eat or grab something attractive by yourself. The boy also started talking, but in his own, childish way.
Between rehabilitations with specialists, Oleksiy works out with his parents at home. Physical exercises, such as squats or exercises for the back, he already does several dozen repetitions! And the boy and his mother draw, put together magnetic puzzles and do many exercises for the development of fine motor skills.
For the boy’s further development, he needs regular rehabilitation courses with specialists. Paying for four courses a year on his own is very difficult for an ordinary family, especially during a war.
Please give Oleksiy a chance for a healthy, carefree childhood!
