We are glad to inform the readers of our site about the first results of tennis tables setting program in the yards of the orphanages of Zaporozhye region.
Several new street tennis tables have been set and the old one has been reconstructed by the “Happy Child” fund in October and November, 2008, due to your donations. In spite of winter season children use the new sport equipment with pleasure – there are a lot of pupils who are interested in table tennis in every orphanage. An opportunity to play in the yard is an additional stimulus for children to spend more time outdoor and communicate with each other during the game. The tables are made of durable material (thickness 4-5 mm), quality-set and will serve for a long time. We are sure the expenses (2800-3100 grivnas or 550-600 dollars for each table) will be covered by orphans' supply of energy and positive emotions.
Besides, it is not very easy to steal or use not on purpose stationary street tennis table.

Due to donations of our foreign friends we have also set gates for mini-football in Kalinovka except of the table. They can be used not only by orphans, but also by employees' children.

Every evening during summer mission of volonteers from USA, Holland, Estonia and Ukraine in Kalinovka they were playing football with children, using stones instead of gates. Volonteers promised children to set a real gates. The promise is kept! Now, in spite of winter season the football matches in Kalinovka are taking place very often. Even children from neighbouring villagies come to take part in this game.
We continue The Tennis Tables Setting Programme in Zaporozhye region orphanages in winter. In spite of crisis, prices for metal become lower, so we have a chance to present a great opportunity to spent time outdoor for orphans.
