Anna has her loving family now!

I met this lovely girl during a trip to Askania-Nova biosphere reserve. Anna is quite social, and we talked a bit about her life.

Once, a couple of years ago Anna spent a summer in Florida, USA. She liked it a lot there: pleasant climate, beautiful country, nice people. She is still thrilled by the experience of flying over the ocean. Almost all small kids from the boarding school go on vacations abroad. Older kids go only by invitation from a family. This year Anna is going to a summer camp at the Azov Sea. She is looking forward to it. “How can you be bored by the sea?” – is her answer to my question.

Anna is taking part in a dance group. She is upset that the boys from their boarding school look down on dancing: they are only interested in sports – boxing, weightlifting… Only a few reluctantly agreed to learn waltz for a performance at a graduation ceremony. But the girls are not sure that the boys will not refuse to dance at the last moment, and are still worried.

Previously Anna took embroidery and singing lessons, but today she is dedicating her time to dancing. After graduation she wants to become a hairdresser or a massage therapist. She thinks it is a practical choice. She knows that she needs a practical choice as she can only count on herself in life. She has adult brothers. One is a student and the other one is already married and has his own children. It is strange that he does not want to give her his phone number, saying that she is “too young”, although he shows some interest in her life, communicating with Anna via her older sister, Masha. Anna does not understand these precautions. She loves her brothers although she has not seen them for a long time.

She has a sister Maria P., born in 1995, #0059460 and brother Danil P., born in 1997, # 0059461.

If you are interested in adopting Anna, please read the memo to the potential adoptive parents, guardians, and foster parents; you can also contact Children’s Affairs' service of the Zaporozhia State Administration by telephone (061) 239-01-56. Request the Profile Number of Anna accordingly to the orphan list # 0059459.

Other children who dream of finding a family

If for some reason you are currently not able to adopt (for example, you are a student and do not have a family of your own yet) you are still able to help children at a boarding school (an orphanage) with your financial support. Ways you can help include: planning and participating in excursions and trips for children; visiting a child in an orphanage; or helping purchase developmental toys, books, construction sets, and sports equipment.
