Seventeen-year-old Tymofiy dreams of university, travel, and adult life that is only beginning. But for seven years, his daily reality has been a fight with a serious disease.
Tymofiy has Crohn's disease — a serious chronic intestinal condition in which the immune system attacks the body itself, causing constant inflammation. This results in severe abdominal pain, weakness, weight loss, and digestive problems. The disease has a wave-like course: periods of improvement alternate with severe flare-ups. Long-term treatment also caused complications — Tymofiy developed chronic kidney disease.
Despite all the trials, Tymofiy remains active and cheerful. He has many friends and participates in school activities. Tymofiy is finishing 11th grade in Zaporizhzhia and dreams of entering university to pursue a future in law. He is very passionate about history — he can talk for hours about past events and dreams of seeing famous historical sites in person one day.
Due to disease recurrence and the development of related complications, doctors had to change his therapy. Previously, Tymofiy received necessary medications under a state program, but now he has been prescribed "Entyvio," which his family must purchase themselves until he reaches adulthood in November this year. In total, 8 vials of the medication are required.
It is extremely important for Tymofiy to continue treatment today. It is what gives him a chance to control the disease, achieve remission, study, dream, plan his future, and live a full life.
The goal of our fundraiser is 53,000 UAH (approximately 1250 US dollars) for one vial of the necessary medication. Please support Tymofiy!
