A month has already passed since the fateful event in Kateryna's life. Due to a sudden fall, the girl suffered severe leg injuries and damage to three vertebrae. Her condition required urgent surgical intervention. As in similar cases, the foundation turned to its donors for an immediate fundraising campaign to fulfill financial obligations to the suppliers of surgical consumables.

Thanks to the prompt work of the surgeons, the first spine surgery was performed quickly, followed just a few days later by the leg surgery. The latter surgical intervention was particularly complex, as the doctors literally had to piece the bones back together from fragments.

This month has been a difficult ordeal for Kateryna: pain, hardships, and adapting to new life realities. Currently, the girl is already back home, but due to the leg fracture, her mobility remains limited. Kateryna is awaiting the next operation, which will give her the opportunity to take her first steps toward recovery.

For now, she can only move around using a wheelchair, but even this is already a major achievement. After all, if the spinal surgery had not been performed on time, this might have been impossible.

The foundation paid for the cost of consumables for both surgeries, spending 62,700 hryvnias. The remainder of the collected funds will be used to purchase the necessary medications for the girl.

Thanks to your good deeds, Katrusia will definitely return to a full life. Of course, it won't happen today or tomorrow, but that day is already getting closer!
