It is difficult for Ermak to live in the orphanage, though he has already got accustomed. Can it be easy for any child there?
The boy is not aggressive, well-disposed, he communicates with the majority of children, but he can establish close friendly relations very slowly and with difficulty. During the first years Ermak kept himself separately, but then he made close friendship with a girl. She was actually his only close friend. The girl was adopted. The family was ready to adopt Ermak too, but at that time he didn’t have the official orphan’s status. The boy took this loss hard. Now he has already recovered from sorrow and dreams of his own loving family.
As far as I understood, Ermak has got a humanitarian cast of mind and artistic orientation of interests. The boy attends a musical school (class of bandura), participates in the puppet show hobby group, likes lessons of literature and language, keen on reading books, which are out of the school curriculum.
Ermak is very curious. His thirst for knowledge becomes apparent when he studies educational themes by his own, besides those required at school.
Perhaps this is because Ermak tries to obtain additional crumb of attention to himself.
Ermak is neat: looks after himself and keeps his copy-books clean, and there are even legends about his accurate writing. However, sport is also one of his hobbies, especially the boy likes game sports such as basketball and volleyball.
