Oleg has his loving parents now. He was adopted together with Andrey and Maxim by an American family

I can hardly remember the time when I first met Oleg. The only thing I do remember is that his teachers kept on saying that he was one of their most disobedient children and they had to keep an eye on him all the time. When he was in another group in the orphanage, he was regularly playing some tricks and his teachers often had to punish him. Standing in a corner was almost a habit for the boy.

But after Oleg was moved to a group of the most diligent children in the orphanage, his level of discipline went up. Of course, he can still be naughty, and when you start giving him a lecture on how to behave oneself, he makes big sad eyes and asks you: “D’you lumme?” which in his language means: Do you love me? So how can you help saying "yes" and forgiving him everything?

Oleg is such a lovely and active boy, that it seems he has got no worries or troubles in his life. Well, there actually is one thing – the boy is only able to pronounce the first syllable of every word. Nevertheless, after you talk to him for a while, you start understanding almost everything the boy is telling you. By the way, other children from the group understand Oleg perfectly and often act as ‘translators’ for him.

Despite of being naughty, Oleg can be very persistent if you give him a specific task. He can help sweep the floor or take a child on a stroller where you tell him. Besides, he can spend a lot of time drawing to later proudly demonstrate his masterpieces.

Oleg is an unbelievably charming boy. When he just smiles, even saying nothing, you are ready to forgive him all his naughty tricks. He is able to make anyone feel happy as this boy is so full of zest, full of life and happiness.

Sometimes we fail to notice small but good things in life, are not able to be happy just because we are alive and worry for no reason. Oleg is exactly the person who is able to bring overwhelming joy and positive energy into your life. Maybe your children lack such a friend and such a brother. Oleg, even though being mischievous and positive, also needs care and tenderness. He needs a mother and a father he will no longer have to ask, D'you lumme, as the boy will be able to feel their love with all his heart, which will make him a true joy for those around him.

If you are interested in adopting Oleg, please read the memo to the potential adoptive parents, guardians, and foster parents; you can also contact Children’s Affairs' service of the Zaporozhia State Administration by telephone (061) 239-01-56. Request the Profile Number of Oleg accordingly to the orphan list # 0057496.

Other children who dream of finding a family

If for some reason you are currently not able to adopt (for example, you are a student and do not have a family of your own yet) you are still able to help children at a boarding school (an orphanage with your financial support. Ways you can help include: planning and participating in excursions and trips for children; visiting a child in an orphanage; or helping purchase developmental toys, books, construction sets, and sports equipment.
