Dear friends, we are pleased to inform you that thanks to your donations, the electrocardiograph which was absolutely essential for the children of the department of functional diagnostics of Children's Hospital # 5 has been purchased.

Every day scores of Zaporozhye children are examined in this department, and we all know how important it is to have an accurate diagnosis. The whole process as well as the outcome of the treatment greatly depends on it.

The previous electrocardiograph was really old. The electrocardiograms received from it were so illegible that doctors had to send children to follow-up study as it was absolutely impossible to decipher the data. It created danger that the doctor might miss early "signals" of a possible child's cardiac rhythm disturbance.

In addition, these repeated electrocardiographic examinations caused department’s work under extra strain and over expenditure of materials. Of course, this is a secondary issue in comparison with children's health but still pretty a significant one.

Thanks to your donations we have managed to fix it. A new ECG acquired due to your donations will work for many years and benefit thousands of children.

We would like to thank you so much, our dear donors, on behalf of the Happy Child Foundation’s staff, doctors of functional diagnostics department and, of course, the children themselves and their parents.

We are still far from the day when all the equipment in Zaporozhye hospitals no longer concedes European counterparts, and our children will receive the same high-tech treatment as children of Germany, Italy or France do.

However, we all know the saying "a rolling stone gathers no moss". Let’s hope that instead of complaining about our hardships we will keep helping our children - our future - to become brighter and happier.
