ATTENTION (15.07.2014).:

The fund-raising campaign is closed. Yesterday Bogdan with his mom went for treatment to Italy. The money was collected thanks to you and many other foundations.

Without our support, fifteen-year-old Maksym Didenko will not be able to continue his vital rehabilitation and corrective classes. Please help raise funds for the boy’s treatment and development!

=====================================

Bogdan was once a very cheerful and energetic boy. No one could even imagine how cruelly this world would treat this innocent child.

Since his cradle days, Bogdan had to face his first ordeal. His parents had no time for taking care of their little bundle of joy because of their never ending alcoholic parties. Bogdan was growing in a constant atmosphere of stress. One of those parties ended tragically – the boy’s mom killed his daddy in front of one-and-a half-year old Bogdan. Luckily on that very tragic night, Bogdan found a new loving family – Natalia and Valeriy, who by that time had three biological children. The couple soon adopted Bogdan into their family.

Life seemed to take its course. Bogdan went through long and tough moments of physical and psychological rehabilitation. Love of his new family turned Bogdan into a healthy and curious boy. In 2013 the boy started his first year of school which sadly, he was not destined to complete. Bogdan instead became a leukemia patient and had to exchange his carefree school routine for a hospital ward.

Ukrainian physicians, to our great regret, cannot treat Bogdan affectively any more. There is still a chance, however, to receive treatment in Italy. The documents and the official invitation from the clinics have been collected; the only thing Bogdan’s parents lack now is money…

This treatment trip itself requires approximately 20,000 euros (25,825 US dollars). This amount includes driving around, food and accommodation costs. The family continues to hope they will manage to receive some state grant money for the treatment (that’s approximately 115,000 euros or 148,495 US dollars).

Natalia and Valeriy can never raise such an enormous sum of money on their own. Your kind financial support is Bogdan’s only hope, his only chance to survive and have a happy childhood. Let’s save the precious life of one more child, please! Together we can change a lot. There is no small donation. Each prayer, repost, and dollar transferred will bring Bogdan closer to the day when he’s finally free from leukemia.

Life is not a bed of roses. Everyone can suddenly stay one to one with this invisible enemy called cancer. It is so important to have someone close around who would give you a hand. Let’s be this hand for little Bogdan. May God bless you!

The family of Bogdan lives in Zaporizhzhia.
