"Asvabaditeli" - Russian occupants, gutted a unique institution for children with hearing impairments in the Zaporozhye region (video)

June 17, 2022, 13:25 613 Author: tsn.ua The shelling of the Russian occupiers destroyed a unique institution.

Children with special educational needs studied and were rehabilitated at the Kamyanka boarding school. In addition to schoolchildren, the institution operated preschool groups for children with hearing impairments and severe developmental disabilities.

This was reported by the press service of the Zaporozhye Regional Military Administration.

Children who studied at the Kamyanka boarding school were not able to study in schools and kindergartens due to the lack of specialists in these institutions: deaf educators, speech therapists, special education teachers - and special conditions.

The history of the institution began in 1962. It was the first and only sanatorium-type school in the Zaporizhia region at that time. Since 1991, the boarding school has been reorganized into a special educational institution for deaf and hard of hearing children. Today we see the results of the work of the 'liberators' who ruthlessly destroyed the building of the unique educational institution," the statement said.

As reported, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine by shelling and bombing, 43 institutions have been damaged, of which five schools have been completely destroyed.

Without our support, six-year-old Mariia Zaslavska cannot overcome the consequences of a severe illness. Please help us raise funds for life-saving medical supplies!
