=====================================
This story began three years ago, when Nikita had a severe stomach ache. The reason was not searched for long: in the abdominal cavity there was a tumor the size of a large orange. And a week later, Nikita's life changed dramatically. Beloved school, sports section and friends remained outside the door of the hospital ward. Ahead is a difficult struggle for life. Fight one of the most difficult types of cancer - Ewing's sarcoma.
Six months of chemotherapy, followed by bone marrow autotransplantation. Preparation for it lasted three weeks, and Nikita and his mother dream of forgetting this period forever. The only thing they had then in the sterile box was high temperature, constant vomiting and stomatitis. And after the transplantation of our hero, twenty sessions of "rays" were awaited.
A year after the start of treatment, the doctors confirmed that there is a confident result. The tumor has decreased by 80%, there are no metastases. It is impossible to remove the remnants of the tumor because of the large vessels, so it needs to be “finished off” with chemotherapy.
For two years now Nikita has been taking constant maintenance "chemotherapy". Every three months he undergoes an examination and waits for the treatment to be canceled. But the coveted word "remission" has not yet sounded. In August of this year, the examination showed an increase in lymph nodes, this means that the treatment is ongoing.
At the beginning of 2021, Nikita went to school again. He dreamed about this event for two whole years! All this time, communication was limited, there were only relatives and best friend - the dog Luna.
Nikita is tired of being treated, and wants to be an ordinary boy, go in for sports without restrictions and not get sick because of the reduced immunity after the "chemotherapy". But the therapy is going on, and 48 vials of Etoposide are needed for coming six months. The total cost is about $720 USD.
Every month, for over a year now, we have been purchasing a chemotherapy drug for Nikita. This became possible thanks to your help. Together we bring Nikita closer to the long-awaited remission and final victory over cancer! Help the boy this time too!
