Everyone can become a benefactor, even without money. To be a volunteer, to give unnecessary things to those people whom they can still serve and benefit, just come to the hospital and play with the children.

“I am a bank worker by profession. Before the decree, she worked as the head of the Zaporozhye branch of one of the Ukrainian banks. I had a daughter with a rare incurable genetic disease - cystic fibrosis. This disease requires constant treatment and large financial investments. The foundation began helping my family when my daughter was 3 years old: we did not have enough financial resources for this already. Until the age of 6, I was forced, due to my daughter's health, to be with her. While receiving help for the treatment of my child, I had an irresistible desire to be involved in helping other children, to participate in the work of the foundation. For a whole year I asked to work for the fund.

My job now involves keeping in touch with donors. When there is an urgent need for something for the beneficiaries of the foundation, I know exactly who I can turn to for help. At the same time, I am constantly in touch with donors and provide them with a full report on the use of their help, on the well-being and affairs of our foster children. Also, my responsibilities include searching for new donors so that children receive treatment, medicines and everything they need for a better and longer life. At the moment, in Ukraine, out of 10 children born with cystic fibrosis, only one survives to the age of 18. We are trying with all our might to change these sad statistics for the better, because in Europe, most patients with this diagnosis live up to 40 years and older, thanks to good medical care and therapy. In Ukraine, everything is different.

“Everyone can become a benefactor, even without money. Be a volunteer, give unnecessary things to those people whom they can still serve and benefit, just come to the hospital and play with the children"

Now I am happy at work, I am in my place. As once in a bank with clients, and now with donors. I work with our donors, I know in which areas a person wants to help. Someone - for orphans, someone - sick children. I know about the needs of each of our departments, so it's easier for me to find a donor to solve the problem.

I have never thought about working in this area in my life. What I am doing now is very valuable, it made me rethink the values in life. We have a great team. Each of the employees is in his place. My colleagues do not sit for a salary, the work brings them spiritual satisfaction, they do it from the heart. We are currently implementing an increasing number of projects, including for children with cystic fibrosis. We are looking for new partners, actively involve new people in our work ”.
