Scouts of Zaporozhzhye is a regional children's scout organization, whose mission is serving Ukraine via providing informal education and upbringing of children, based on the scouts' educational method and value system. The Scouts of Zaporozhzhye offer a program for schoolchildren, which molds character and ensures a rapid and organized personal development in scouting based on the mission, the Scouts' principles of self-governance, self-education, and self-development.
This organization was founded on January 15, 2001. In 2008, the members of the organization joined the National Organization of the Scouts of Ukraine (NOSU), and the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSD).
Today, the organization "Scouts of Zaporozhzhye" has branches in the city of Zaporozhzhye, in the city of Energodar and in the Novonikolaevsky district.
The organization has four areas of activity: tourist-local historical, social, military-patriotic, and leadership development.
Each scout patrol has the right to choose the area of interest or to participate in all four areas. The individual development program in each patrol depends on that decision.
Anybody who is interested can join the organization, regardless of faith, ethnicity, or social status. Details can be found on our site skaut.zp.ua.
The leadership of the organization is a council of eleven active children and adults, who believe in their work and strive for a successful future of their hometown and Ukraine.
