Donation report

ATTENTION! AS OF 24/09/2026: Fundraising for Oleksiy's power station has been paused! Following our post, a donor reached out and will be sending their power station to Oleksiy in the coming days! The remaining funds raised will be used for special nutrition for the boy. Thank you so much for your support and help!

=====================================

Oleksii has been bedridden for more than six years and is completely dependent on a ventilator. His life directly depends on an uninterrupted power supply.

From birth, the boy has been fighting a serious illness. At the age of five, he was given the final diagnosis — Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Gradually, he stopped walking, and at almost seven years old he ended up in a wheelchair. At the age of twelve, after severe pneumonia and one lung failing, Oleksii became dependent on a ventilator.

Despite all the challenges, Oleksii loves life very much — listening to audiobooks, especially “Harry Potter” and adventure stories, watching science programs about nature and the Universe, and watching video games. He loves animals very much. He is kind, caring, positive, and even in the most difficult moments supports his mother.

Five years ago, Happy Child Charitable Foundation helped the family purchase a vital ventilator. Today the family is once again forced to ask for help.

Because of the war, the family was forced to leave their home in Zarichne, Zaporizhzhia region. During one of the shellings, Oleksii’s mother suffered severe injuries and was treated for a long time, while Oleksii himself was in intensive care.

Now mother and son live in a rented apartment on the fifth floor, where it is impossible to use a generator.

Their charging station is no longer new and cannot withstand prolonged loads. For Oleksii, electricity is not simply a matter of comfort. It is the ability for the ventilator and other vital medical equipment to keep working, and accordingly, the ability to live.

We ask you to help purchase a new charging station for Oleksii. It will allow his ventilator and other vital medical equipment to continue operating during prolonged power outages and provide Oleksii with the necessary safety.

Every contribution is not just support for the family. For Oleksii, it is an opportunity to be safe and continue living.

The fundraising target is about 30,000 Ukrainian hryvnias (approximately $675).
