Donation income and expenditure report
ATTENTION! AS OF 02/28/2025: Funds for rehabilitation have been collected. Thank you!
Margarita is now 11 years old. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of one. Since then, Rita has required special care and attention. Spastic tetraparesis is the most severe form of cerebral palsy. While the disease itself does not progress over time, certain symptoms may change throughout life. Without regular rehabilitation, muscle stiffness can increase, leading to muscle contractures. That’s why every rehabilitation session is another step toward Margarita’s independent life.
Her mother, Natalia Zhadik, shares: "My daughter was born at 41 weeks. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at one year old. Doctors gave us discouraging prognoses, which made us lose hope. However, Margarita can now stand on her own for long periods, is trying to write her first letters, and is learning to use her hands and speak."
Margarita is scheduled for therapy at the Sovenya Neurocorrection, Rehabilitation, and Development Center in Zaporizhzhia in June 2025. The planned treatment includes therapeutic massage, motor correction, physical therapy, speech therapy, and corrective sessions to help Margarita take her first steps. The cost of this course is 10,050 UAH (approximately $260 USD).
Rehabilitation is needed every three months. Since 2022, thanks to your support, we have already funded five rehabilitation courses and purchased an orthopedic car seat. Today, Margarita’s family is once again asking for help to bring her closer to an independent life.
