Probably everyone remembers our adorable - Pelageya. The baby is no different from the rest of the children: she goes to dances, gymnastics and is engaged in a modeling agency. This year Pelageya is going to first grade, and now all her thoughts are about a new backpack and mind-blowing outfits that will be bought in connection with this event. The thoughts of her relatives revolve around the fact that in the fall the girl needs a course of intravenous antibiotic therapy again.

Such is the life of children with cystic fibrosis: in appearance they are mega-active, ubiquitous, very smart and talented lively ones. However, an enemy sits inside them, eating the organism piece by piece. And you have to fight all your life, do inhalations and breathing exercises, take medication by handfuls and periodically undergo hospitalization with antibiotic therapy. “Sometimes it seems that this is some kind of bad dream. After all, just now your child was running, jumping and dancing, infecting everyone around with joy. And suddenly a sharp deterioration, and you find yourself in the hospital, ”writes Pelageya's mother, because exacerbations in cystic fibrosis are exactly the same.

Our ward is very strong and endures all procedures and exercises. She also underwent bronchoscopy, which is difficult even for adults. This procedure was required during the last hospitalization in order to clear the lungs of viscous sputum, where the infection that eats them has settled. The same infection during hospitalization “ate” and 25,000 hryvnia of the family budget. And the next hospitalization is already in September, not far off. The family's financial capabilities have been exhausted, and the coronavirus epidemic has played an important role in this.

And Pelasha still wants to run, jump and dance!
